On Sundays the accent is on light classical music and song. On Tuesdays Kim likes to provide a broad range from Pop, to light classics. At 12.10 we have Lunchtime Concert, then at 1pm Kim broadcasts Matinee Concert .
How did you first connect with GDR?
I learnt of Golden Days Radio through volunteer work at an OP Shop in Chapel Street. The manager, an under 40 year old, NEVER turned the dial from 95.7FM.
Why did you want to be a presenter?
I like the immediacy of radio, and the ‘live’ aspect where as a presenter I can connect and interact with the listener.
What experience do you want to give your listeners?
I would like the listener to have pleasure in a wide range of music, with lots of variety where possible. I have expanded my knowledge of music while listening and presenting on Golden Days Radio. Hopefully I can help the listener discover something new – as well as recall past memories. Music is a good prompt to bring back pleasant memories.
