Larry James

Fridays 7am-10am

Hosted by Larry James firstly we have the 7am news, sport and weather to get everyone up to date with the happenings of our city and beyond. Additional News bulletins are at 8am, 9am and 10am.

At 7.30am the popular “Chickenman” series comes along where Chickenman roams Midland City seeking criminals in his yellow crime-fighting car, appropriately known as the Chicken Coupe.

At 8.30am we feature “Spotlight on Business” where Peter Thomas interviews local business proprietors informing us of business trends.

9.30am sees another exciting chapter in “The Passing Parade” hosted by John Doremus featuring great stories from history.

Music is a big feature of the program where songs and evergreens from the 1930s to the 1980s are played to get everyone off to a good start.

How did you first connect with GDR?

I first heard Golden Days in the car coming home from work a number of years ago and liked what l heard.

Why did you want to be a presenter?

I have always been a volunteer in the community and with my love of music and public speaking becoming a presenter was inevitable.

What experience do you want to give your listeners?

Hopefully, my program encourages our listeners to join in and celebrate the wonderful variety of music that is played on Golden Days Radio. Feedback via emails and the telephone from our listeners is very important to ensure we get it right.
